The Call Center Update

The ANGELS Call Center continues our mission of serving obstetrical patients in Arkansas through telephonic patient triage and physician assistance with patient consultations and transports. This winter, we logged over 6,000 calls relating to patient triage alone. In addition, we assisted with over 150 high-risk OB patient transports into UAMS and connected roughly 100 physicians with UAMS obstetricians for patient consultations. Though the majority of the calls involved UAMS patients, we also provide contracted after-hours triage services for clinics outside of the UAMS system, which resulted in over 550 more calls. We appreciate the opportunity to assist both expectant mothers and their physicians, and we’re looking forward to a productive and fruitful 2014!
